Replacing Sprites in the Formation Screens

• Opened Sprite Editor
• Sprite Editor: File -> Open: UNIT.BIN
• Note: Shishi's Sprite Editor comes with the latest version of FFT Patcher and when opening the UNIT.BIN file, simply type "UNIT.BIN" (without quotes) in the text field when it asks you which file you want to open and then click open.
• Sprite Editor: Palette -> Save: .PAL File (1_1.PAL)
• Sprite Editor: File -> Open: .SPR File
• Sprite Editor: Palette -> Save: .PAL File (1_2.PAL)
• Sprite Editor: File -> Export: .BMP File (1_2.BMP)
• Right-clicked on .BMP File (1_2.BMP) -> Open With: Editing Program (GIMP Works fine here)
• Editing Program: Selected the right-forward position exactly
• Editing Program: Edit -> Cut/Copy (They do the same thing)
• Sprite Editor: File -> Open: UNIT.BIN
• Sprite Editor: Palette -> Open: .PAL File (1_2.PAL)
• Sprite Editor: File -> Export: .BMP File (1_1.BMP)
• Right-clicked on .BMP (1_1.BMP) -> Open With: Editing Program
• Editing Program: Edit-> Paste
• Editing Program: Moved copied sprite over the Bard
• Editing Program): File -> Save (1_1.BMP)
• Sprite Editor: File -> Import: .BMP File (1_1.BMP)
• Sprite Editor: Palette -> Open: .PAL File (1_1.PAL)
• Sprite Editor: File -> Save As: UNIT.BIN
• CD Mage: Open FFT.img
• CD Mage: Open Events Folder
• CD Mage: Right-click UNIT.BIN and select Import: UNIT.BIN
• Close CD Mage
• Start FFT ISO

Also in order to edit Palette colors;
• Download the attached SNESPal.zip
• Unzip it & Open it
• File -> Open: UNIT.BIN
• Starting with Ramza's sprite at 00F000, scroll right to find your sprite.
• Every new one is 000020 over.
• Example; Ramza Chapter one is 00F000 and Ramza Chapter 2 is 00F020
• To match colors exactly, open up your editing program and find the numbers of the color, than devide by 8. Like if the color has 16 Red in it, put 2 Red in SNES Pal.
