FFTPatcher is an application made by melonhead that allows the user to make changes to the game mechanics in Final Fantasy Tactics. The application builds on the work done initially by Zodiac in his Excel workbooks.

This program allows basic changes to abilities, equipment, and jobs as well as modifications to the enemies and items found in each battle. FFTPatcher is compatible both with the PSX and PSP versions of Final Fantasy Tactics, and can generate a patch or Gameshark codes for PSX and CWCheat codes for the PSP; however, patching is usually preferred considering the battles will not create any Gameshark codes or CWCheat Codes, and a patch may consist of several hundred Gameshark codes or CWCheat Codes.

FFTPatcher requires a Final Fantasy Tactics image file to apply the patch, but the program can generate a patch by itself. Applying the patch through FFTPatcher will overwrite any changes to the files being replaced, such as formulas added separately by ASM hacking in the case of replacing BATTLE.BIN.
