PlayStation mods

  1. First you need a clean disc image (often called an ISO) of the Final Fantasy Tactics (USA) release for PSX. The image is often a pair of files, with a large .BIN file and a smaller .CUE file.
  2. Download the patch files for the mod you are interested in playing. This will typically be a PPF file.
  3. Apply the patch to the ISO. Tutorial: How to Patch an ISO With a PPF File
  4. Choose your favorite PSX emulator and have fun! On PC, the recommended emulators are DuckStation or pSX. On Android devices, the recommended emulators are DuckStation or RetroArch (using core DuckStation/SwanStation). For more information, see Play:Emulators.
